Glengoyne Scotch whisky is a single malt whisky that is made in the Glengoyne Distillery in Dumgoyne, Scotland. Glengoyne is located in the Highlands region of Scotland and is known for its rich, mellow flavor. The Glengoyne Distillery was founded in 1833 by George Connell and has been producing some of the finest Scotch whiskies ever since.
Scotch whisky is made from barley, water, and yeast. Glengoyne is made from 100% Highland barley which gives it its characteristic flavor. The water used in Glengoyne comes from the Robbie Dhu Springs and is some of the purest water in Scotland. The yeast used in Glengoyne is a specially selected strain that is cultured for Glengoyne.
Glengoyne is matured in oak casks for a minimum of 10 years. This gives Glengoyne its rich, mellow flavor and smooth finish. Glengoyne is bottled at 43% ABV (86 proof) and is best enjoyed neat or with a splash of water.
